KEDC Listserv Should Enhance Communication

Teachers and administrators in KEDC member districts now have a new, efficient way to communicate with each other.

With the aid of Dr. Bill Stillwell in the UK College of Education, KEDC has established its own KERA Professional Listserv. A listserv is an e-mail discussion list that allows participants to send information to all of the listserv’s subscribers by typing in only one e-mail address.

Subscribing to the new KEDC listserv is as easy as one-two-three:

1. Go to http://www.uky.edu/Education/kylists.html on the Internet.

2. Type your name and e-mail address in the required boxes.

3. Scroll down to KYKEDC and click on the button.

You will then be subscribed.

When sending a topic, question or issue to the listserv, type in KYKEDC@lsv.uky.edu in the “To...” box. The message will go to all members of the listserv. To reply, click on reply and your reply will go to the entire listserv. If you want to reply only to the individual who sent a particular message to the entire listserv, don’t hit reply. Instead, type a new e-mail message and enter that person’s e-mail address in the “To…” box.
