Recommend
approval of the attached minutes of
the July 16, 2008 regular meeting.
3.2. Approval of Financial Report
and Orders of the Treasurer
Recommend
approval of the financial reports for June 2008 After Year-end Close, July 2008 and
August 2008 and the Orders of the Treasurer for the period of July 1 through July 31, 2008 and August 1 through August 31, 2008.
3.3. Personnel Report
Recommend
that the Board acknowledge receipt of the Executive Director’s Report on
Personnel Actions as follows:
3.3.1.
Employed
Natalie Blum, Administrative Assistant, to be paid from the
Professional/Technical Hourly Salary Schedule at Class 4, Step 1, effective
August 11, 2008 for 246 days.
3.3.2.
Terminated
the employment of Trey Hensley, Technology Cabling Helper, effective August 11,
2008.
3.3.3.
Employed
Linda Comley, Wilderness Trail Special Education Consultant, effective July 21,
2008, to be paid from the Director/Coordinator/Consultant Salary Schedule at
Class 8, Step 20.

effective June 30, 2008. We received 9
bids for CLS2007.030, of which 8 have been awarded. BooksAMillion.com was rejected for bidding in
the incorrect category.

3.6.
Audit Agreement
The Auditor of Public Accounts has solicited bids for
KEDC’s 2007-2008 audit. At this time an
auditing firm has not been selected.
3.7.
Line of Credit
Recommend authorization to renew and maintain a
$500,000 line of credit with First and Peoples Bank & Trust of Russell,
Kentucky, to cover potential cash flow needs.
3.8.
Declare Surplus Property
3.8.1.
Recommend declaring a 2001 Dodge Stratus as surplus
property for disposal by advertising for sealed bids and/or auction utilizing
eBay, and to authorize the Executive Director to accept the highest bid and
complete the sale.
3.8.2.
Recommend ongoing
authorization for the Executive Director to determine surplus property to be disposed
of by advertising for sealed bids and/or auction utilizing eBay, and to accept
the highest bid and complete the sale for each item listed, or to dispose on
site any items not receiving a bid, with a report of items disposed of to be
presented at the next regular KEDC Board meeting.
3.9.
Passenger Vehicle Bid
Recommend authorization to solicit bids for the
purchase of up to three passenger vehicles or vans and authorize the Executive
Director to award bids based on lowest and best bid.
