Report regarding the Chairman’s KEDC Committee Appointments.  List included in the Board folders. 

 

4.      Actions By Consent

 

4.1.   Approval of Minutes

Recommend approval of the attached minutes of the April 16, 2008 regular meeting.  No business was conducted in June due to a lack of a quorum.

 

4.2.   Approval of Financial Report and Orders of the Treasurer

Recommend approval of the financial reports for April 2008, May 2008, and June 2008 and the Orders of the Treasurer for the period of April 1 through April 30, 2008, May 1 through May 31, 2008 and June 1 through June 30, 2008.

 

4.3.   KEDC Membership Withdrawals

Recommend approval of KEDC membership termination effective June 30, 2008, for the following school districts as requested by the districts:

·         Bell County

·         Butler County

·         Oldham County

 

4.4.   Personnel Report

Recommend that the Board acknowledge receipt of the Executive Director’s Report on Personnel Actions as follows:

 

4.4.1.            Accepted the resignation of Kerry Anness, Mercer County Adult Education Instructor, effective May 16, 2008.

4.4.2.            Increased contract days for Kathy Meredith, Big East Special Education Consultant, to 205 days through June 30, 2008.

4.4.3.            Notified the following Adult Education Instructors that their contracts would not be renewed due to Job Readiness Activities (JRA) funding being reduced:

·         Jacqueline Womack – Greenup County

·         Susie Riley Carter – Carter County

 

4.4.4.            Notified the following Little Sandy Corrections Adult Education Instructors that their contracts would not be renewed due to funding being moved to a different fiscal agent by the State:

·         Stephen Ison, Elliott County

·         Sara Aldridge, Elliott County

·         Taunya Carpenter, Elliott County

·         Kim Leadford, Elliott County

·         Christy Smith, Elliott County

 

4.4.5.            Increased days for Lisa Parsons, Big East Special Education Consultant, to 210 days through June 30, 2008.

 

4.4.6.            Employed the following Big East Educational Cooperative (BEEC) staff for Fiscal Year 2009 effective July 1, 2008, to be paid from the Director/Coordinator/Consultant Salary Schedule unless otherwise noted:

 

·         Jill Griffiths, Director at Class 10, Step 33, 230 days in Big East, 10 days in General Fund

·         Gayla Scott, Consultant for 220 days at Class 9, Step 28

·         Kathy Meredith, Consultant for 205 days at Class 9, Step 26

·         Jon Looney, Consultant for 205 days at Class 9, Step 18*

·         Lisa Parsons, Consultant for 205 days at Class 8, Step 18*

·         Lori Dehart, Consultant for 215 days at Class 8, Step 10

·         Kay Smith, Consultant for 125 days at Daily Wage Threshold

·         Carol Cooksey, Consultant for 129 days at Daily Wage Threshold

·         Tammy Wall, Consultant for 205 days at Class 8, Step 23

·         Pam Middleton, Classified Hourly Salary Schedule for 240 days at Class 6, Step 15

4.4.7.            Employed the following Upper Cumberland Educational Cooperative (UCEC) staff for Fiscal Year 2009 effective July 1, 2008, to be paid from the Director/Coordinator/ Consultant Salary Schedule unless otherwise noted:

 

·         Ginger Brashear, Director for 179 days at Daily Wage Threshold

·         Connie Hunt, Consultant for 220 days at Class 8, Step 23

·         Connie Brookins, Consultant for 220 days at Class 9, Step 27

·         Keith Lakes, Consultant for 225 days at Class 8, Step 17*

·         Carla Jordan, Consultant for 220 days at Class 9, Step 17*

·         Renee Leach, Consultant for 225 days at Class 9, Step 13*

·         Kathy Eversole, Consultant for 220 days at Class 9, Step 24

·         Debbie Lawson, Professional/Technical Hourly Salary Schedule for 185 days at Class 8, Step 16
