Presenter: Lacey Lane
Target Audience: All educators teaching beginning reading, SLPs, SLPAs, teachers of D/HH, and teachers of ELL
Description: See the Sound-Visual Phonics is a system of 46 unique hand cues and symbols that represent the sounds of English without the ambiguity of English orthography. Included are the sounds commonly referred to as vowels, consonants, diphthongs and digraphs. This two day workshop demonstrates how this strategy allows students to “see” or conceptualize speech sounds and relate them to print.
