Focusing on the unique genius of each child, Dr. Armstrong will develop a compelling vision of who we teach. With an extensive history in the areas of human development and intelligence, Dr. Armstrong redefines the needs of the children we teach. His book, The Best Schools, will be provided to each participant.

1:30pm - 4:00pm Breakout Session
Participants will discuss Dr. Armstrong's tenets about "who we teach" in small group sessions. With a focus on the impact on classrooms of all ages, facilitators will guide participants toward an action plan for schools and classrooms.

Dr. Robert Barr will outline specific instructional strategies that are proven to be effective for today's learners. Drawing from vast experience teaching at risk students in low performing schools, Dr. Barr will share his professional mission for all students to achieve at high levels. Saving Our Students-Saving Our Schools will be provided to each participant.
