We are honored to share that KEDC's work in artificial intelligence was recently highlighted in testimony submitted to the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) during a hearing on the future of K-12 education in the age of AI.
In her testimony, Erin Mote, CEO of InnovateEDU and leader of the EDSAFE AI Alliance, recognized Kentucky and KEDC's partnership with the EDSAFE AI Alliance as an example of how states are working to expand equitable access to AI learning opportunities.
"KEDC has always been committed to helping districts stay ahead of what's next," said Nancy Hutchinson, Chief Executive Officer of KEDC. "Whether through emerging technologies, professional learning, or strategic partnerships, we want to ensure Kentucky educators have access to the tools and opportunities they need to prepare students for the future."
This recognition reflects the collective efforts of educators, district leaders, and partners across Kentucky who are exploring how emerging technologies can support teaching, learning, and student success.
KEDC remains dedicated to supporting districts through innovative programs, professional learning opportunities, and events such as our 2nd Annual AI Summit on July 21-22 in Lexington.
We are grateful to our partners at EDSAFE AI and to the Kentucky educators who continue to lead this important work.
